God put Adam to sleep and took out a rib, then made it bigger (multiplying mass out of nothing, as Jesus did with dead fish and bread), and fashioned a derivative of Adam, Eve, to be his companion. The Bible mentions a "book" of a person's parts. So geneology clearly has real stuff to it, thing is, we plebs don't know exactly what they are. We know "DNA" is fake, but real hereditary stuff, that's still a big mystery.
