Keekee Jenkins I used to work on cargo ships. We would stock up on fresh food in Houston and top it up in Germany. Total trip was 35 days would take about a week and a half from the east coast to get to Europe. There were a few times we'd get super low on food (depended on budget and what not) and water because the distiller plant would barely keep up in the summer. There was at most 30 of us on board at a time. It amazes me that they could allegedly keep so many people alive on a 6-8 week voyage with zero access to fresh supply on the way when we could barely make it on a 35 day run with refrigeration, fresh water supply and minimal people... ===== file from Nov 2019 recovered Jan 2021
