Sometimes they do product placement in a movie based off of surveillance. That's why Popeyes was showcased in Little Nicky. War, Inc. did this as well. One of the targets was a huge fan of Popeyes. Other times they'll cast an actor based solely on the interest a target might have in them. Even just a quick 2 minute jaunt on an actor's Wikipedia page is more than enough to have them get casted. Battleship was an amalgamation based off of different elements of surveillance. There's a target who used to do voices out loud in his bedroom. He used to do skits in Liam Neeson's voice. This is how Liam got casted in Battleship. Same with Rihanna. Despite her not even being an actress to begin with. That same target enjoyed 2 of her songs. That's also why Liam starred in a movie about the IRA. The target used to carry out skits about the IRA in Irish voices. The local Celtic Mafia in his town somehow managed to catch wind of the surveillance recordings. Sometimes, if a target says something controversial about a certain celebrity, that might be enough to have them get casted. That's how Hilary Duff got casted in War, Inc. John Cusack appears to be one of the first actors to be involved in this phenomenon. He starred in Hot Tub Time Machine. That was another amalgamation movie. One of the targets was obsessed with Time travel since he was a young child. He also used to enjoy listening to 80s music. Hence why the characters traveled back to the 80s. Chevy Chase was casted in the movie because the target once made a remark about National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation. ===== rcvrd jan 2021
