    my take is demonic possession is real and the medical establishment covers it up and pushes addictive drugs that might surpress the demons, but come with their own price. so the demons (not as they're portrayed in media. those are just dumb winged goblins. real demons are evil scripts, irl malware, they have no form) might be disabled. but the side effects wreak their own havoc.

    now what caused the person to become possessed in the first place. what made them become like computers full of bloatware and malware. hmm. what did they do to get to that point. there's the big question.
