    It breaks down the barriers of the mind and lets you manipulate it. The brain is very similar to a computer actually. Think about what you would do to delete a file on a computer. You would find the file, throw it into the recycling bin, then delete it. You can do the same thing with your own brain, but you have to understand how to operate its software.

    Everything in the brain can be accessed and manipulated through what is essentially visualization and symbolism. If you have a bad memory you want to be rid of you first clear your mind and concentrate on the memory. You imagine it in vivid detail, essentially relieving it and confronting it. You have to achieve a certain state of clarity and concentration for this to work. Then you symbolically destroy it. An example of this would be visualizing the memory collapsing around you into a small orb. Then visualize a box with a lock and key. Place the orb in the box, lock it away, and then visualize the box crumbling to dust and blowing away in the wind.

    You can do this with far more things than just memory manipulation with enough concentration such as emotion manipulation, changing likes and dislikes, or even changing entire aspects of ones personality. The possibilities are endless. Memories are essentially the brains file system and visualization and symbolism are the GUI to interact with it.
