He’s retired so it’s his favorite hobby. I asked him if he’s found anything creepy and he played me a recording he made of a number station he found broadcasting out of Cuba. >> Anonymous 01/09/21(Sat)18:17:36 No.27295299▶ >>27295147 (OP) No. But I listen to a lot of old time radio shows. Like gun smoke. There are some creep shows like the hermits cave. Check it out. Pretty good stuff really >> Anonymous 01/09/21(Sat)19:22:38 No.27295671▶>>27297866 File: 2e06b798-b48c-4040-902d-4(...).jpg (927 KB, 1819x1021) 927 KB >>27295147 (OP) 20 year ham fag here. There are hella creepy things to hear on HF. You are literally listening to the universe. I've heard digital modes that soumd like the Predator. There are tons of numbers stations out there as well. Here is a pretty cool site that has a fairly accurate schedule. If you don't have your own radio just use a webSDR. https://priyom.org/number-stations/station-schedule I've always been utterly fascinated with HF..."shortwave"...since I was a kid. I didn't have any firemds and the idea of a lonely radio transmitter all alone in a room sending out a signal in a desperate attempt to get someone to listen was somehow comforting to me. I HIGHLY recommend y'all listen to HF. As far as police scanners, I live on an Air Force base next to a test range and I hear a lot of cryptic sounding transmissions. Security Forces is encrypted but 95% of the rest is clear. When I lived in Texas I heard a few shootouts. Our friemds uncle went crazy, threw his furnature on the front yard, lit it in fire, and shot it out with the cops. 1 cop died...friendly damn fire. I heard all of it. There's way more. >> Anonymous 01/09/21(Sat)19:27:10 No.27295708▶ >>27295196 That station is known as HM01. It runs off an ancient version of windows and sometimes you can hear sounds from the OS in the backgroun. The wierd tones are actually straight up .txt files being transmitted using an old amateur digital format. The format was developed by some Portuguese cat. I think it's called DIGtrx. It doesn't run on anything past Windows 7, but it's still out there and people still use it...mostly to decode HM01 transmissions...which are just strings of numbers desu. >> Anonymous 01/09/21(Sat)22:37:41 No.27296788▶ Only creepy things I've heard on ham radio transmissions are ham radio operators. Almost as bad as model railroad dudes. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)02:40:11 No.27297878▶>>27298428 >>27295147 (OP) Try AM 640 ;) >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)05:01:59 No.27298428▶ >>27297878 it's some dude talking about coronavirus
