    yes, and similar creatures to what you're describing. there are insects that exist just outside of our vision – their mimesis is one where they are so large, so outlandish, so unnerving that our brain just activates an auto nope filter. when you're a child you are more likely to see this creatures. i used to see them all the time as a kid and still encounter them occasionally in dreams. when i see them i experience "the drop" sensation of reality being yanked up in the air and dropped all of a sudden, almost like the thud of a large beetle landing somewhere on you but all over your body and all at once.
