Star Trek
The legendary, iconic USA live-action show, with a very low budget, creative use of prop, uncreative but sensible use of costume, where our heroes visit different worlds in outer spaaaace, some of which are more like literature short story gimmicks.
Very notably, this series spawned Trekkies, the iconic type of nerd celebrated in 80s and 90's media, of the Usenet user with a special interest in escapism, sci-fi series, series set in "outer space", robots, aliens, and anime catgirls.
