    This line hits hard. Girls brought up to believe in magic and fairytales, prince charming to come rescue you and unicorns only to have the crushing reality of learning none of it exists. Kissing frogs doesn't turn him into a prince, remaining pure and chaste and giving this to someone who you thought would be your one and only turns out to be a cruel lie and now you are used and damaged, dreams don't come true, you are wasted goods because you opened your heart like they told you too. And now when you've accepted it, when you're a bitter shell of what you used to be, damaged and broken, NOW the magic comes. NOW the beauty of something mythical reveals itself to you when you are at your worst.

    This scene, while not as kino, hit in a similar way.
