Never had Nintendo console. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)02:32:14 No.27297843▶>>27304624 File: Zelda-Freemasonry.jpg (3.28 MB, 8000x8000) 3.28 MB >>27296690 >>27296842 Here, also ocarina of time and majora are very good games, i can recomend. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)19:09:24 No.27304624▶>>27304719 >>27297843 nintendo ruined it with the imagery. zelda gives me such an empty feeling when i play it. it feels so off. same with a lot of other japanese games and anime with the same sort of vibes. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)19:21:57 No.27304719▶>>27304956 >>27304624 im serious about this and if anyone feels the same id really like to hear it and why. it makes me sad just talking about it. i didnt play much zelda as a kid especially oot and things like that so its not me being nostalgic. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)19:55:18 No.27304956▶>>27305010 >>27304719 Nah bro you're not alone. The 64 era games and I guess even Twilight were weird fucking games. Even OoT bounces between a happy go lucky adventure to a legit macabre. A lot of people talk about dead hand and the well. The well scared the fuck out of me when I was a kid Even Link discovering he's not really a kokiri and loses his fairy is pretty dark if you ask me >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)20:00:12 No.27305010▶>>27305074 >>27305279 >>27304956 The faces on the walls in the shadow temple were the worst. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)20:09:16 No.27305074▶>>27305279 >>27305010 Dude even the sound design was weird. The way some of the mobs like squeal and scream with that weird ass "warping" distortion. Hell look at the levels. Even when your an adult you're constantly having to climb and fall on and off shit as if the levels were made to make you feel small. Just generally make you feel alone too. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)21:04:25 No.27305413▶ >>27305074 i used a memory editor to mute the music of shadow temple and well, and it made a WORLD of difference in the tone and "feel" of those levels. music design is everything. also my early ntsc 1.1 has fire temple chanting (and ganondorf red blood, and muslim gerudo), and i had to look up the revised fire temple, and i found the new fire temple music to be EERIE. i was used to the chanting, but the new fire music was SPOOKY. it used soundfonts for shadow. someone ages ago said, the revision was weird, because each level had its own unique soundfont. hearing one soundfont where it didn't belong, was jarring to that person. >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)21:31:37 No.27305595▶ its REAL. read about how nintendo "jokingly" made controllers that interface with your brain directly to the 64. after the gigaleak happened you could find stuff about the evil god temple in ura zelda, now scrubbed everywhere >> Anonymous 01/10/21(Sun)21:48:35 No.27305704▶ File: download (25).jpg (7 KB, 300x168) 7 KB >>27304719 Yeah I didn't play a single Zelda game till I was about 12 they all have this weird melancholy feeling. And it's weird how everything about Zelda is so incredibly generic, bland and uninspired (on the surface level at least) yet the imagery has become iconic nonetheless. What I mean by that is almost every aspect from the characters to the setting to the items you use are completely stolen from another piece of media, it's not like paying homage or taking inspiration it's all just stolen from somewhere else and plastered onto the games with a slight different coat of paint.
